September Reset: Living On Purpose

Updated: Oct 8

ree

September has a rhythm all its own.

The mornings begin to feel a little crisper, the skies a little grayer, and the roadways a little more crowded. Parents are dropping children off at school, heading into the office, or returning home to begin their day. Offices buzz again after summer breaks as workers transition back into familiar routines.

For me, September has always felt like a reset. Growing up, the first day of school was always the Tuesday after Labor Day. I can still remember the excitement of new clothes, a cool themed binder and school suppliesthe sense that I was stepping into something new. That feeling has stayed with me into adulthood—this season always invites me to reflect, to realign, and to ask:

Am I truly living on purpose, or am I simply existing—day to day—going through the motions?

The Lesson from the Trees

Nature models the beauty of transition and release every fall. The trees don’t go from green to bare overnight. Their leaves shift from green to orange to brown, until they finally let go of what they can no longer nourish.

It’s a reminder that letting go doesn’t have to be sudden—it can be a process. What if we approached our lives in the same way? We can give ourselves grace, allow ourselves time to transition— to shift gently, and then release what no longer serves us.

What would you release if you trusted that something healthier, stronger, or more aligned was waiting for you?

  • Old clutter that crowds your home and mind

  • Habits that drain your energy instead of fueling it

  • Commitments made out of guilt, not purpose

  • Relationships that leave you depleted, not supported

  • Negative self-talk that holds you back

Every transition creates space. Every release invites growth—to make room for what’s next.

My Personal Reset

For me, this season of transition looks like clearing the clutter—not just in my office, but in my closet and in my life.

I realized I’ve been holding on to items and clothes that are outdated, unworn, and truthfully, will probably never see the light of day again. I even kept clothes that are a couple sizes too big, as if holding onto them “just in case” the weight I’ve worked so hard to release somehow returns.

Letting go of those clothes became more than just organizing a closet—it felt like a breath of fresh air—it was a symbol of reframing a limiting belief: that I couldn’t trust myself to keep the weight off.

I trust myself.

Those clothes are not my present. They are not my future. They are simply taking up space that could be used for what supports me in this season of my life.

Living on purpose means committing to the choices that align with the life I’m creating today—not the one I fear losing tomorrow.

Your September Invitation— Live Aligned. Live on Purpose.

This season is not just about returning to the same routines—it’s about alignment. Like the trees, we are invited to both transition and release. To shift with the season and to let go of what no longer serves us—including clutter, habits, and even relationships that weigh us down.

Living in alignment means choosing small, intentional actions that support your values and purpose—whether that’s caring for your health, protecting your energy, or creating space for what truly matters.

I invite you to pause and reflect:

👉 Identify one area of transition in your life—something you’re outgrowing, shifting away from, or rethinking.

👉 Then choose one thing to release—whether it’s clutter, a draining habit, or an old belief.

👉 Replace both with a small, aligned action that brings you closer to your purpose.

Every transition creates space. Every release invites growth—to make room for what’s next.

September isn’t just a reset. It’s an opportunity to realign and step boldly into your next season.

Schedule Your Spark Session today and let’s explore how you can fall into alignment, transition with intention and live on purpose.
